Artist's Statement

Everywhere I look is a landscape. My subject is nature, be it traditional oil paintings of mountains, plateaus, grasslands, sea, animals, and figures. The beautiful scenery outside is my inspiration and I use rich paint colors to reproduce what I see. At the same time, I will create different textures on my canvas. When the brush hits the canvas, the natural scenery is captured in my work.

 I do not think there is exactly the same scenery in the world. Every landscape has a different charm, I use my camera to take pictures of the scenery around me or take some time and use pencil and watercolor to record the scenery at the moment. Eventually, these photos and drawings will become abstract and realistic oil paintings. 

I enjoy the process of painting outdoors, I am able to better integrate and feel the environment, and also I could easily restore the charm of natural scenery. Living in nature, we should slow down, connect with nature and discover the landscape around us.
